My Story

Hi. I'm Suzanne - fiction and nonfiction writer, autobiography and memoir ghostwriter, copyeditor and proofreader. And I love every minute of what I do.
I have been writing from the time I was in secondary school (in Barbados where I grew up) and reading from the time I could string sentences together. A steady diet of Enid Blyton, Nancy Drew, and the Hardy Boys (the popular books of my time) was my daily nourishment during my young years, followed by healthy ingestions of books like 'Roots' by Alex Haley and 'The Autobiography of Malcolm X'. My voracious reading appetite made up my mind: I was going to be an author!
Enter adulthood; exit my dream. Life grabbed hold of me and I shelved my writing desire. But in 2006, I resumed writing and have not looked back since.
I enjoy writing stories with twists especially dramatic fiction. 'Where There's a Will' is my first collection of Barbadian short stories and it certainly will not be my last.
A new collection of books is my nonfiction line of 'Ladies, Let's Get Real.' This series is targeted specifically at women to address the issues that are particular to women. Issues like being married, being single, being fifty and over, and being bosses.
One of my favourite types of nonfiction books to read is autobiographies and memoirs. From the time I read Malcolm X's and Mandela's autobiographies, I was hooked. The real life experiences of people can be stimulating and inspiring, and I am so pleased when people can be a source of hope for others. I enjoy writing autobiographies/memoirs just as much as reading them, and have been helping people tell their life stories since 2015. My clientele includes entertainers, business people and yes, even regular folks with inspiring stories to share. You can share your story with the public if you want to, but you can also write your story for yourself, your family or/and your close friends. So tell me your story so we can bring it to life together.
When I'm not reading, writing, and editing, I'm watching movies, spending time with family or hitting the beach in Barbados.
